Slow going early

With the great structure for the Main Event, things are going slow and steady for the players. They are taking advantage of the deep stacks and slow levels to build up their stacks and avoid some of the crazy players. An early bustout by David Singer is the most notable so far. He showed up late and left early.

There are some crazy tables where the unknowns must be cautious. Parked right next to the railbirds we have a table with John Juanda, Brandon Canuto, Carlos Mortensen and the always delightful Maria Ho.

Personal drinking hero Gavin Smith was found sitting at the same table with Lee Watkinson and Ted Lawson.

Friend of LivePokerRadio and unofficial information magnet Alvin Delgado is alive and running hot. Flopping quads early and getting paid off will do that for you.

Barry Leventhal, final table player from the Borgata Summer Open, recently busted out and did not seem pleased.

The dinner break is coming up soon and we'll see how the players respond once their bellies are full of Borgata grub.
